You deserve a shout out. You deserve to be recognized and thanked by not only your own kids but from us too.
For tying our shoes more times than anyone could ever count. For making us oatmeal in the morning, and then cleaning up the mess when we threw it on the ground. For all the diapers…oh lordy alllllllll those diapers. Thank you for singing us songs when we were scared, thank you for praying over us every night and asking only the best for our lives to come. Thanks for the goodies on every holiday, and the cards on every birthday. For making us feel unique in a world swimming with sameness.
Thank you for your sacrifices late at night, and in the middle of the day. Heck, thanks for sacrificing ALL your hours, at the drop of a dime, for whatever we needed. Thanks for putting your wants on the back burner so that our dreams could come true. Thank you for listening, teaching, and growing us…and listening even more. Thank you for the subtle hints that we were making bad decisions while gently nudging us towards the right path.
Thank you mom for listening to every crazy desire of ours for our wedding day. Thank you for letting me choose the colors, and the cake, and the invites and the dress while you gifted me checks to hand to my vendors without hesitation. Thank you for making a girls fairy tale come true. Thank you for stepping back so I can feel like the star on that day. Thank you for the support, and the never ending love that I always know is only a phone call away.
Thank you for loving him. For accepting him into our family seamlessly and full of love. Thank you for treating him as your own son. Thank you for the continuous wisdom you bestow upon our lives as our families grow and change. Thank you for straying a bit from your role as mom, so you could fully become Bestemor. Thank you for loving my kids as much as I do. Thank you for continually teaching me about them, and how to love them, how to raise them, and how to feed them more then mac and cheese.
Thank you for loving us.
We love you.
